Burgundy Bit Review

I’m always looking for the perfect barn bag; I love my Grand Prix Rider Back Pack for horse shows, but I’ve been on the hunt for something a little trendier that can take me from work, to the barn, and then out to dinner. If I’m being honest, I have way too many tote bags stuffed into my closet and hung on my bedposts, but one can never have too many bags, right? Enter the Paul & Lydia Burgundy Bits Equestrian Tote!

Perhaps my favorite thing about this Paul & Lydia bag is that the company is based right here in central Indiana. As a Hoosier, I love to support local businesses, especially those geared towards horsey folk!

Let’s talk looks: the color is rich and deep and the bit pattern provides a subtle, equestrian flair to every day outfits. Also, who doesn’t love gold accents?

This tote bag is roomy enough for my laptop and DSLR camera, two things that I carry with me almost everywhere I go—especially to the barn, because I’m living that equestrian freelance writer and blogger life.

You can see that it easily fits my 13″ MacBook Air, my wallet, my phone, and even Waffle’s passport and registration information (because that’s something that I apparently think is important enough to carry around with me).

I also love that it’s made with water-resistant fabric, because as an equestrian with a somewhat dirty car, I’m not always the kindest to my bags. This will also make it pretty easy to clean in the (probable) event that one of my horses slobbers on it.

The interior of the tote has a zipper pocket and three slip pockets, which is perfect for keeping small things safe, like keys, lip balm, spurs, or in my case, memory cards and chargers.

I can’t wait to add more Paul & Lydia to my collection!
